Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang declared that AGI had arrived after OpenAI released GPT-6 Astra. The video questions that claim, noting Huang also highlighted that Astra was trained using Nvidia hardware. Rather than relying on benchmark claims, the creator tests Astra and Fable 5.1 on the same tasks.
Both models received the same prompt to create a game where players customize a rocket and launch it into orbit.
Astra showed a major improvement in generating detailed 3D imagery. A mechanical-watch illustration that had previously come out as unusable clutter was transformed into a polished exploded-view diagram. The creator warns this capability could make high-effort 3D explainer videos much easier to imitate, contributing to a flood of low-effort AI content.
The creator also tested Astra by asking it to build “Horse Tender.” After inspecting the result, he initially thought it had made no mistakes—but then spotted a carrot positioned a few pixels off. The flaw turns the supposed AGI breakthrough into a joke: the video’s conclusion is that Astra is impressive, but not AGI.
Astra excels at fast, polished 3D visuals, while Fable produces more engaging and detailed gameplay in this comparison. The video argues that benchmark headlines alone don’t establish AGI—and that powerful generative tools may erode the barrier to producing sophisticated-looking 3D content.
The video’s sponsor, Mobbin, offers a library of UI examples and user flows that can be referenced by coding agents through its MCP server.
